Job description

We are looking for interested and motivated people between May and end of October , in full time (8 hours per day) to support our cell culture and/or media production activities at our headquarters in Einbeck through the high workload period as part of a temporary seasonal contract . The position will be filled with in KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA .

Your tasks:

• Carry out all sterile laboratory work steps in connection with the production of double haploid lines by using different tissue culture procedures
• Support the preparation of the plant material for flowcytometry analysis to evaluate the ploidy level
• Create sterile media for the KWS cell culture activities with advanced laboratory equipment
• Documentation of all work steps by using LIMS applications

Your profile:

• Ongoing or finished education in the field of natural sciences/horticulture/agriculture/biotechnology
• is an advantage
• Practical experience in laboratory work, in in-vitro culture, and working in sterile environment is desirable
• High degree of commitment, willingness to learn and personal initiative
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic level (A1-2) of German in combination with good level of English or good German knowledge is essential
