As the IT provider of the Allianz Group, Allianz Technology is tasked to run optimize, transform, and innovate infrastructure, applications and services together with Allianz companies to co-create the best customer experience.

Enterprise Architecture will help shape and drive Allianz’s IT architecture roadmap and strategy, modernize their business to deliver new levels of innovation, agility and responsiveness to their customers. This role leads the successful harmonization of the former Allianz Technology architecture ecosystem with the overall Allianz SE ecosystem.

You would also be responsible for making the role more strategic and convey the impact of architectural decisions on overall IT strategy to the key stakeholders including the group CTO & all the members of the Executive Management team of Allianz Technology.

Your responsibilities

• Support the company’s enterprise technical vision and technological development in line with the company’s business goals.
• Define and implement architecture strategy and standards for key systems and platforms that impact the enterprise architecture.
• Act as an agent of technology resources and spend through.
• Optimize the cost of Allianz’s legacy footprint.
• Define build vs. buy strategy for the IT capabilities stack.
• Lead the IT application modernization effort through enablement and adoption of cloud strategy and implementing advanced technological platforms.
• Develop architectural patterns and approaches for development teams to ensure lasting transformation change across the entire IT organization.
• Provide insight to executive management regarding emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage them (AI/ML, IoT, RPA, Blockchain, etc.).
• Be a talent magnet – be able to attract, retain and upskill/reskill a diverse global team.
• Establish stronger relationships with Allianz SE Headquarter, be a strategic collaborator with key stakeholders & Executive Committee and successfully navigate complex global organization.

Your experience/skills

• Strong knowledge and understanding of IT architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies. Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and technologies.
• Ability to align IT architecture with business goals and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Proven experience in defining and implementing architecture strategies and standards.
• Strong communication skills and experience in C-level relationship management.
• Strong leadership skills (incl. management in matrix organizations and management of teams across different locations).
• Solid understanding of IT service provider operations combined with comprehensive knowledge of insurance business.
• Organizational transformation and change management skills.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
