In the position as Product Engineer (f/m/d) you will work at our plant site in Lampertheim and report directly to the Director Product Engineering SBU. The Product Engineer (f/m/d) is expected to narrow the gap between R&D and Production, enabling product and process development according to the Littlefuse development process. In this position you will work closely with Process Engineering, Product Marketing, R&D, Quality and Sales.

About the position:

Perform statistical data analysis to identify the root cause of product yield issues in wafer-fab, wafer test as well as product design

Identify containment actions together with process- and quality engineers to ensure product supply to customers and manage teams to analyze and fix the root causes of yield gaps

Define in cooperation with process- and quality engineers physical product failure analysis to identify the hardware related root cause of product fails and evaluate improvement options.

Represent as team member in new process- and product development projects the production requirements to ensure that the new processes and products meet performance, quality, and yield requirements.

Manage the product launch team in a wafer fab for new or transferred products

Evaluate the cost-, quality- and yield risks of product change requests during the development and manufacturing phase of products.

Identify together with other experts cost reduction and quality improvement options, evaluate these, and drive the implementation in production

About you:

Technical degree or a degree in natural sciences

Good understanding of statistical analysis methods

Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics and device design

2+ years of experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing or equivalent process development or engineering experience

Good written and oral communication skills in English

Experience with problem analysis tools e.g., 8D, 3×5 Why

Very dedicated person who enjoys working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
