YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently looking for an experienced financial accountant (m/f/d) for our 7-person finance team who would like to develop further in their role and tasks.After a systematic familiarisation phase, you will gradually take on the following responsibilities:
- You will independently post all document types, reconcile your accounts and carry out closing routines
- You will play a key role in the preparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements and tax returns
- You prepare the monthly advance VAT returns and check the annual VAT assessment
- You are the first point of contact both internally and externally for all VAT issues and other tax matters. You will regularly liaise with tax advisors and auditors to this end
- You monitor internal control systems and support ongoing process optimisation
YOUR BACKGROUND
You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or training as a tax clerk (m/f/d), preferably with further training in accounting or taxes. After at least five years of professional experience, you have reliable practical knowledge as well as in addition:
- You have a sound understanding of HGB accounting law and German tax law
- You are able to work under pressure, have a quick grasp of things, are highly self-motivated and enjoy deepening your knowledge and learning new things
- Your way of working is structured and solution-orientated and your work results are reliable
- Your demeanour is confident and your interaction with colleagues is natural. As a strong team player, you have positive energy and can share your knowledge with others just as you can learn from others
- You have good written and spoken German and English skills
