Job Description

Our research campus in Renningen forms the international hub of our research and advance engineering, cross-domain computing solutions and Bosch Centre for Artificial Intelligence divisions.

• The aim of this thesis is to develop a method for realistic modeling of traffic influences on the velocity simulation of vehicles based on available field data.
• You will be actively involved in the review of existing field data and evaluation of algorithms for data reduction.
• The evaluation of field data regarding time-of-day-dependent traffic densities will also be part of your research.
• Furthermore, you will develop mathematical models for the simulation of traffic-dependent velocity profiles.
• Your know-how will be beneficial to us in your validation of respective models using pilot applications.

Qualifications

• Education: Master studies in the field of Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or comparable with very good grades
• Experience and Knowledge: of data analysis and probabilistic modeling, excellent programming skills preferably in Python
• Personality and Working Practice: highly motivated and flexible team player
• Languages: very good English and German

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
