Aufgaben In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the automobile generations of the future. This means innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on the vehicles of tomorrow in order to secure Mercedes-Benz's technological leadership in the future.
Our Center develops high-voltage batteries for the electric powertrains of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The HV Battery System Development department is responsible for the research and pre-development of battery systems and the design of the overall system. The Thermal Management team is responsible for the thermal design of batteries.
Your tasks in detail:
- Familiarization with the existing toolchain
- Development of innovative methods for modelling a battery cell with the aim of optimizing computing time while maintaining accuracy
- Application of the latest developments in the field of neural networks to enable precise predictions about the behavior of the cell model
- Validation of the model with the help of simulation and measurement data
The final topic will be determined in consultation with the university, you and us
Qualifikationen
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or a comparable course of study
- Very good knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g. Python)
- Very good methodological knowledge of machine learning/deep learning, especially in neural networks
- Good knowledge of battery technology and simulation software (e.g. StarCCM+) is desirable
- Independent and goal-oriented way of working and strong analytical thinking
- Business fluent in German or English
