IT Network Administrator (m/f/x)

Commutable from Cologne, Dusseldorf and Wuppertal (with travel to different sites)

€60,000-80,000 + 28 days holiday + Pension + Private Health Care + travel expensive

An excellent opportunity for an experienced IT System Administrator, looking to grow their career within a global company manufacturing state of the art machinery.

The ideal candidate will be an experience IT administrator who enjoys working in an independent environment and standalone position. With good understanding of Windows, Linux and VMWare, and has experience providing IT support to many different department. Also, you would have been responsible for lifecycle management of IT infrastructure, data centres and management of Cloud resources.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated self-starter, looking to join a rapidly expanding business where you can develop your skillset in IT Support.

The role:

• You will be responsible for the lifecycle management of IT infrastructure in regional offices, data centres and management of Cloud resources.
• Actively participate in the implementation of group initiatives and contribute to ensure state-of-the-art infrastructure.
• Supporting divisional systems as per the PaaS offering to internal customers.
• Regular updates and maintenance of different server operating systems (Windows and Linux).
• Implementation of network security according to provided guidelines.
• Keep infrastructure documentation updated, especially as a part of change management, and on-prem and Cloud system documentation.

The person:

• Several years professional experience in IT Support Administration.
• Very good Knowledge of hardware, network and communication technology, IT security.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Serves and Linux administration.
• Extensive knowledge in virtualization technologies (VMware, HyperV)
• Extensive knowledge in hybrid (Cloud + on-prem) environments with network and VM administration.
• Fluent in English and German B2.
