Job description
Your new tasks will include in particular:
- The technical and disciplinary management and people development of a team of approx. 10 electrical experts for the electrical and thermal design of power modules for electric and hybrid vehicles
- Competence and method development in your area
- Supporting the roadmap work in close cooperation with other development areas and related departments , such as technical marketing, project management, quality management and production
- Providing the necessary resources and ensuring the quality of the work packages in a matrix-oriented project organization
- Promoting innovation work in order to keep our development projects at the cutting edge of technology and continuously optimize them
- Optimizing and ensuring processes and workflows in electrical development
- Representing the division in internal and external committees
Your Profile
You can process information quickly, evaluate it reliably and make targeted decisions. You have the ability to think and act entrepreneurially and strategically. You always pursue high quality goals. You inspire your employees and stakeholders with your ideas and find appropriate solutions in a timely manner. You enjoy working in intercultural teams and quickly establish the necessary networks thanks to your strong communication skills.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Successfully completed a university degree in electrical engineering, physics or related fields, with a PhD would be a plus
- 8+ years of professional experience in the field of power electronics and appropriate knowledge of power electronic components
- Already several years of experience in people management
- Good knowledge of the switching behavior of new fast switching IGBT/ MOSFET chip technologies on silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC)
- Simulation experience with circuit simulation, e.g. PSpice, MATLAB
- Confident communication and presentation skills in German and English
