Job description
Our client is a major financial institution looking to strengthen their team as soon as possible with a:
Your future tasks and responsibilities:
- General financial accounting tasks in the area of the competency of the Accounting Division.
- Ensuring smooth operations of the Accounting Division.
- Developing, interpreting, drafting respective reports and presenting the financial accounting information and related conclusions to various Accounting Division stakeholders.
- Enhancing and developing the Accounting Division’s best practices, policies, procedures,processes, systems and documentation.
- A Master level degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
- Ideally, a completed qualification of a certified accountant (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CMA or equivalent).
- At least 5 years’ experience in the field of accounting or financial reporting operations.
- Ideally an in-depth understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- At least 5 years experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning system.
- Relevant experience in e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, etc. would be an asset.
- A working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. macros, VBA) would be an asset.
- Advanced command of English (equivalent to C1 level) and German (equivalent to B2 level).
