In this role, you'll bring your creative problem-solving skills to bear, designing custom Power BI dashboards that enhance our financial forecasting and reporting processes. Leveraging your IT skills, you'll work with complex datasets, creating effective data models that reveal business trends and inform our growth strategy.
- Apply your expert skills in Power BI to develop, refine, and maintain sophisticated financial models, budgets, and forecasts. Work alongside our international finance teams in Europe and the Middle East, driving financial strategy through data.
- Unleash your passion for analytics by monitoring and evaluating financial performance. Harness the power of data to create insightful reports, and make compelling recommendations that will steer our strategic decision-making.
- Drive accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Use your extensive SQL and ideally DAX knowledge to revolutionize our monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Conduct in-depth variance analyses. Use your expertise in data modeling and ETL processes to identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions that will shape our financial future.
- Oversee group-wide financial transactions, including intercompany accounting and reporting, using the powerful analytics capabilities of Power BI.
- Assist in preparing dynamic financial presentations for management and stakeholders, utilizing your excellent German and English communication skills.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to optimize business processes and financial efficiency.
- Provide insightful guidance in financial planning and analysis, risk assessment, and internal control processes. Your robust understanding of business processes, KPIs, and corporate scenarios will be crucial in this role.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field - a Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a Controller with a focus on Power BI development, or in a similar role where Power BI development was a significant component
- Strong knowledge of SQL and DAX for creating advanced calculations, manipulating datasets, and enhancing Power BI report functionality
- Proficiency in developing, designing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, demonstrating a deep understanding of Power BI's capabilities
- Solid experience with accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
- Experience working with international teams and familiarity with German as well as Middle Eastern markets is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical skills, demonstrated through the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Detail-oriented, possessing strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams.
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
