Job description
What to expect:
- Derivation of requirements, definition of concept and system architecture
- Development of system and equipment specifications
- Definition, monitoring and analysis of ground and flight tests
- Development of qualification programme, support to certification
- Preparation of certification and clearance documentation
- Control of interfaces to other systems and functions
- Technical support to defect or problem investigations (root cause analysis, development
of prob-lem solutions and modifications) - Preparation of certification and clearance documentation
- Technical support to modification processes
- Technical management of system or component manufacturers and/or suppliers during
develop-ment and in-service support - Solving thermo- and fluid dynamical as well as mechanical engineering tasks and
problems: - Performing system analyses with respect to performance, dynamic behaviour, operation,
control, etc., using handbook methods, simulation tools, etc. - Design, coding and maintenance of computer programs for synthesis and performance
analysis of existing and/or future propulsions systems - Continuous monitoring of available technologies and identification of technology gaps
- Managing interfaces to related technical departments and functions (e.g. programme
management, procurement, technical publications, technology management) - Supporting system engineers at team level
- Cooperation and coordination with internal, external, national and international
subcontractors, suppliers, customers and partner companies
What you bring along:
- Aerospace Engineering (at least Master's / Diploma degree)
- Profound knowledge in the area of propulsion systems:
- Detailed knowledge of aviation engine technologies, engine performance,
thermodynamic cycles, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, as well as engine operational
behaviour and control is mandatory - Knowledge of flight / mission control systems, health monitoring systems, MRO, Air
vehicle mission analysis and performance is required - Good knowledge of Air vehicle general systems and system architectures is a must
- Profound knowledge of and experience in equipment and system engineering is
mandytory - Solid experience in the area of (military) aerospace specific development, qualification
and certification processes would be a plus - IT: Experience with system modelling & simulation tools, management tools (e.g. DOORS)
and software coding tools (FORTRAN, MATLAB/Simulink e.g.) would be a plus
