The Team
Our Discovery Team is a dynamic and collaborative force, ready to conquer the digital frontier. Imagine this diverse crew: a tech lead, a front-end engineer, a back-end engineer, two platform engineers, a visionary product manager, and a seasoned engineering manager, all supported by embedded SRE, a designer, a data analyst, and a data engineer.
We're a fully remote team so we believe in the power of communication. We're not just about talking; we're about overcommunicating to ensure everyone is in sync, we use Slack for instant comms and Notion for documentation. Our agile spirits soar as we go through two-week sprints, tackling challenges and pushing boundaries together. The Role
• Create scalable, performant Go applications leveraging SQL (PostgreSQL)
• Enhance and bolster the web admin product
• Amplify and refine the webAPI along with its documentation
• Work on our large-scale system with micro-service-oriented infrastructure
• Be involved in the planning and execution of deployments
• Write clean, tested, efficient, maintainable code
You
• Have an excellent knowledge of Golang (Go) multithreading and concurrency - solid knowledge of Go is crucial to succeed in this position and we expect you to have at least 5 years of experience with Golang
• Have experience with GNU/Linux & Git
• Have experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Are familiar with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Are familiar with CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient development practices
• Your code is stable and can run in production for months without falling apart
• Don't shy away from writing tests
• Look for opportunities to aid Pex through your unique experience and insights
• Possess effective communication skills
Extra points if:
• You are willing to help out on our frontend using React
