Software Quality Engineer E-Mobility (w/m/d)

Job description
You will implement robust quality processes that adhere to industry regulations (Automotive SPICE, IATF 16949) to proactively identify and resolve software issues before they impact functionality. You are constantly learning and implementing the latest advancements in software quality, particularly Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for E-Mobility applications, and see the result of your work on the road together with premium German and European car manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of software quality processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other engineers to identify, report, and track software defects, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest software quality methodologies, tools, and standards, including FMEA best practices in the E-mobility domain.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software quality processes.
- Training activity within the system & software department, creating awareness of highest quality in automotive development processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in system & software, quality management for a Tier 1 Automotive supplier
- Detailed knowledge of the quality standards Automotive SPICE and IATF 16949, as well as ISO26262
- Several years of involvement in quality management and/or process management, as well as in project management
- Proficiency in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and quality assurance (QA) methodologies.
- Experience working in an automotive or E-mobility environment is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
