Job description
Petroplan are looking to hire a Principal Rotating Machinery Engineer to work for a major client of ours.
This will be a permanent staff role based on site in the Hague.
You will be reporting into the Mechanical Engineering Manager.
Required skills to apply:
- Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), European Engineer (EUR ING) or equivalent affiliation with a professional body.
- Demonstrable experience in the specification, evaluation and engineering of a range of rotating machinery types in an EPC project environment.
- Strong working knowledge of International Codes and experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and CE/UKCA marking.
- Experience in commissioning or operations within working facilities, able to demonstrate fault finding, issue resolution and decision-making skills is desirable.
- Engineering software skills.
- A demonstrable understanding of cross-functional interfaces and overcoming the associated challenges in an EPC environment for process facilities.
- Experience leading or supervising engineers both in the home office and overseas would be desirable.
- Highly competent written and spoken communication and able to use a range of standard software such as MS Word and MS Excel to prepare technical documents and to write technical reports.
