Intern Lab Test Organization- Data Processing and Automation

Your role and your team:

The Test and Experimental team is responsible for various disciplines covering component, system, and whole aircraft tests. It is set up in three divisions: Testing, Test Management and Test Operations. Our team runs tests that facilitate certification, development, and research for the technology areas: Propulsion Systems, Energy Storage, Structures, Environmental Tests, and Hardware in the Loop (HIL).

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager for Integration Testing and will support in test activities and test rig development supporting the design and certification of the Lilium Jet.

We are seeking for an engineering student, who can assist in creating data processing and data automation tools to improve and accelerate our test activities, always keeping the goal of qualification and verification of our aircraft components in mind. You will be granted with excellent learning opportunities in our young and fast-growing aviation company.

Your day to day:

• Gather test automation requests from the different test teams within the Test Organization
• Develop Test Data format and structure by gathering requirements from relevant stakeholders.
• Develop automated data processing routines for recorded data.
• Perform data analysis and create documentation of test results.
• Create data visualization scripts for processed data.
• Support preparation, commissioning, and execution in various Lab Test departments

Your profile:

• Student with excellent academic record pursuing a degree in electrical/production/Computer Science/Data Science engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge of data processing software like Diadem, Signlayzer or similar
• Good knowledge of Python and MATLAB
• Good knowledge of working with Azure Data Landscape
• Skills in LabVIEW and Simulink is a plus.
• You are curious and have a ‘learn and grow’ mindset.
• Target-oriented workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language is beneficial.
• Ability to work a minimum of 6 months full time is required.
