What you can look forward to
- Development, deployment and maintenance of data center storage area networks (SAN) for high-availability IT services (Brocade, Cisco, Nvidia)
- Integration of new hardware in consultation with internal and external interfaces in compliance with security rules, monitoring and alerting procedures
- Development and application of test procedures for server hardware and network environments to protect productive IT operations
- Ensuring a suitable hardware and software environment for remote data center monitoring/control through standby services
- Project collaboration and specialist consulting to ensure operational processes
- Support with error analyses and troubleshooting measures for internal / external specialists
- Development, deployment and maintenance of restart procedures for IT operations following outages or disasters
What you bring with you
- Degree in computer science or a technical discipline or training in an IT environment with professional experience in the specified field of application
- Very good knowledge of the IT operating environment of a multi-platform data center
- Very good knowledge of the technical specialty areas z-Series, p-Series, i-Series, Win-Server as well as SAN, networks and storage etc.
- Ability to innovate and work independently and autonomously
- Strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills for collaboration with internal / external interfaces
- High level of coordination and organizational skills
