We are looking for an IP Counsel (d/f/m) with a passion for biosimilars, as the role is responsible for IP issues related to biosimilars products developed and commercialized by Sandoz.

Your Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Creating and driving IP strategies for first-to-market (and last to exit) launches of a generic/biosimilar product in worldwide markets, taking into account timelines, competition, cost and risk/bene fit evaluations with minimal supervision and support
• Serve as strategic partner to client and business partners on patent and related IP issues, including communicating global patent strategy and IP risks for intended launches in a straightforward, effective manner
• Ability to evaluate an IP situation in financial terms, with some assistance
• Providing input on IP contract terms and performing IP due diligence
• Identify and protect inventions, but also constantly review and consider whether to continue with our patent rights
• Maintain and improve professional expertise and personal leadership skills
• Contribute to building knowledge and skills within the department, including guidance, support and mentoring to other colleagues in the IP organization
Role Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role: • practice as a National and/or European Patent Attorney, or lawyer
• English, competency in a second language preferable
• At least 8 years practicing patent law in a law firm or corporation.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in working in pharmaceutical patent law, preferably in a pharmaceutical company, most preferably in a generics company.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently and successfully perform complex patent activities without supervision.
