Generators must become increasingly flexible, efficient and intelligent. The use of forward-looking technologies is becoming increasingly attractive compared to conventional grid expansion. However, taking all technical options into account, including economic aspects, results in a highly complex grid planning process. To counter this trend, IAV has developed a platform that uses self-learning algorithms to automatically plan distribution grid structures. Both technical options (conventional or innovative grid expansion) and economic aspects are taken into account equally. In addition, we are developing intuitive visualization options for the schematic or geographical mapping of electricity grid topologies. By continuously developing algorithms and planning strategies, we want to make electricity grids fit for the challenges of the future. We are looking for your support!
