AsHead of Financial Planning & Analysis (f/m/d), you will lead the process for the preparation and consolidation of the Group's annual budget, in-year forecasts and long-term strategic planning processes. Additionally, you will perform the performance reporting and financial analysis, as well asscenario plannings to help business anticipate potential challenges and opportunities.
Reporting to the CFO, duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and analysis of income, expenditure and cash flow budgets, forecasts and scenarios over multiple years including sensitivities, risks, and opportunities
- Preparation of presentations to Group Board, Lenders, and Investors
- Synthesise performance trends and business performance into easily explainable key drivers
- Identify and highlight opportunities for performance improvement
- Develop reporting material in a succinct, visual manner including operational dashboards and exception reporting
- Working with CFO and Group Head of Finance to help articulate business and operations issues and identify solutions
- Assessment of business investment cases (capex) and supervision of capex reporting processes; prioritising projects which will improve profitability, cashflows, sustainability or other efficiencies
- Ad hoc support to CFO as required (including as to M&A targets and process)
- Expected (in time) to take on staff management responsibilities for certain business-based finance business partners (these are generally mixed control/ transactional)
- Compiling and presenting commercial data from throughout the business to better inform commercial decisions and provide customer insights
- Work with the business to ensure that the right KPIs and targets have been set and are monitored appropriately with deviations from plan and historic actuals properly understood and investigated
- Support the Group data rules strategy allowing effective use and development of the Data Warehouse (with IT and Data team) to drive consistent and effective use of financial and operational system-driven data
- Support the business in developing and implementing advanced analytics in line with financial and operational system changes
- You have a degree in economics, finance, business administration or equivalent
- You have 10+ years of experienceworking within a fast-paced Engineering or Technology environment
- You are at ease with IFRS and held responsibilities in international group structures, ideally in capital markets
- Familiarity with large data sets, KPIs and their effective use in a multi-site, multi-jurisdictional business
- Strong experience in excel modelling of budgets, forecasting, and business opportunities
- Experience with NetSuite preferable
