Job description
For our customer, we are seeking a Manual QA Engineer.
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team working on a leading HR technology platform.
Tasks
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Identify problem areas and add them to a tracking system
- Understand functional testing, smoke testing, performance, load testing, API testing and end-to-end testing (RESTful API knowledge)
Requirements
- Excellent level of English (C2)
- Three or more years of professional experience in software testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with QA best practices and methodologies.
- Basic experience in API and integration testing.
- Ideally based in Berlin.
- Defining test objectives, writing and executing test cases, test scenarios.
- Manual execution of test cases (90%).
- Learning and improving test automation knowledge (10%).
- Effectively documenting identified defects and cooperating with developers and PO’s to resolve any product issues.
- Executing various levels and types of testing such as functional, integration and regression tests.
- Commitment to improving the testing process.
- CICD. Familiarity with the CI concept and the pipeline/process from commit change until production release.
- Relational Databases. You are familiar with SQL scripting to get test data and make database assertions related to test execution.
- Docker. You are familiar with basic docker commands like docker run, docker logs, docker exec, etc.
- Linux CLI. Familiarity with basic commands to be able to work on the QA environment
