TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
The Role
Definition of the role:
Leading Project Management transformation initiative and digitalization and Global Auto level. Enhance the project management tools globally, ensuring that the organization and it’s people is equipped and developed to thrive in an increasingly digital and fast paced automotive industry.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the Global Project Management function that aligns with the overall corporate objectives and industry trends.
• Lead the project Management Transformation initiative and all change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of digital tools and processes, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Identify, evaluate, and integrate cutting-edge digital tools, software, and platforms to enhance project management capabilities, efficiency, and collaboration across global teams.
• Harness the power of data analytics and business intelligence to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making in project management.
• Streamline project management workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and standardize best practices across the organization to improve project delivery timelines and quality.
• Develop training programs and provide guidance to project management teams globally, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for digital project management success.
• Stakeholder Management: collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, R&D, and Operations, to align digital transformation efforts with broader organizational goals.
• Manage the budget allocated for digital transformation initiatives, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of digital transformation efforts, regularly reporting progress to senior leadership.
• 15+ years of demonstrated Project/Program Management experience in a best-in class global manufacturing environment: Automotive, Technology, Energy or Component Manufacturing, working globally with internal and external customers.
• Proven track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives within large organizations, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Extensive experience in leading and developing teams: experience in driving project management excellence and coaching project management teams.
• Strong understanding of emerging digital technologies and their applications in project management.
• Profound business acumen with the ability to understand the commercial, operational and financial priorities of the business and align the project management strategy.
• Managerial courage and influencing skills to partner effectively with the stakeholders
• Effective communication skills to translate strategy to action within the business and across the enterprise.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Change management expertise with the ability to navigate organizational complexities.
• Must be willing to travel up to 30% annually
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
