Production Engineering Technician VI

The Production Engineering Technician VI works closely with Production Engineer VI to support administration and coordination of production engineering projects, policies, processes, methods and procedures designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions on a company-wide basis. He/she will be working closely with Production Engineer in supporting production transfers and introducing process optimizations. The Production Engineering Technician VI establishes and maintains effective communication with employees, manufacturing and quality department, management and other stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor and sustain improvements in manufacturing processes.

• Gather data on manufacturing processes and feedback from production personnel for further analysis.

• Support failure investigation and root cause analysis.

• Provide first level troubleshooting related to manufacturing.

• Provide data to Production Engineer for second level troubleshooting.

• Train production personnel in new or existing methods and ensure the effectiveness of the training.

• Support continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing and six sigma to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability or cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure production workspaces to be in order at all times.

• Support process and equipment validation activities.

• Perform periodical updates on critical manufacturing items and consumables.

• Ensure proper and accurate execution of manufacturing steps by production personnel in line with standard procedures and quality systems.

• Identify potential safety hazards in the manufacturing shop floor and provide feedback accordingly.

• Identify potential improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes and work with

• Production Engineer for a systematic analysis and implementation.

• Work closely with production personnel and highlight any observations to the team.

Your Profile

• NITEC or Diploma in any engineering discipline.
• Prior experience in medical device manufacturing industry is required.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and methods, Lean, Kaizen, Kanban and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts.
• Familiar with ISO13485 and GMP.
• Proficient in SAP and MES.
• Ability to demonstrate time management and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational, communication and intercultural skills.
• Data and facts driven mindset.
