Job description
The role sits within the fast growing Zalando Gift Cards team - a cross-functional unit spanning 3 commercial channels; B2B, Retail and DTC. The Retail Channel lead position will be responsible for a 3-digit million EUR annual sales targets across all Zalando markets in offline retailers such as Rewe, DM and other points of sales of scale that help us engage our customers. You will be building and owning our ambitious growth plan, which you will deliver on by leading 3 Partner Consultants who own the relationships to our external partners
Gift Cards are the perfect gift for friends, family or for any corporate incentive like loyalty programs and employee rewards. We are a cross-functional unit, integrated in Zalando’s Digital Experience department, which develops global gift card marketing and sales strategy across Europe.
Our goal is to provide our end consumers with a perfect gifting experience and to build up long-lasting cooperations with our partners and customers across Europe.
Gift cards team is currently structured into 3 channels - B2B, B2C, and Retail. This position is for the Retail channel which works to drive the Zalando Gift Cards business in offline retailers like Rewe, DM, Rossman etc. The channel reaches these retailers via integrators.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
Own the Gift cards Retail Channel deliverables and performance on all markets. This entails defining financial and strategic targets per market and on a partner level to understand what are customer problems your channel and team can help solve for Zalando.
Work closely with the Gift Cards leadership team to shape the team’s short/mid/long-term strategy and map out iterative campaign/test plans to drive your targets and prove your growth plans for future growth building across the team.
Lead and develop a team of 3 Partner Consultants to deliver on the team’s objectives and set it up for future success and scope.
Expand our retail network through new retailer and integrator acquisition, identify innovative opportunities to acquire new customers and develop marketing initiatives/products to deliver on defined KPIs that support Zalando group strategy
Build on existing analytics to execute appropriate metrics, forecasts and reports to analyze and evaluate the results of your sales and campaigns
Develop global and local retail strategies by translation of our global strategy for Gift Cards and cross-channel market strategies
Build strong Internal and external relationship through proven stakeholder management, while maintaining a customer- and partner centricity
Optimization of internal processes (invoicing, account management and card production processes)
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
You have 2-5 years of experience in Retail / POS marketing, retail account management or business development
A good understanding and experience in the Gift Card / Incentives industry and an understanding of the markets you are responsible for is a big advantage
You have excellent project management skills to steer and organise different internal and external cross-functional stakeholders
You enjoy solving complex challenges and your analytical skills form the base for you to create strategies to achieve your objectives
You are performance driven, good in analytics, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
You are comfortable with MS Office and Google Suite
Your English skills are fluent; German and other language skills are a big plus
