Job description
Our Project Management team is looking for an experienced Project Manager for our Heidelberg facility.
The Project Manager leads the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with the client, technical team and business development team. This role provides program direction and manages timelines and project controls across internal functional and organizational lines as well as with external clients.
Responsibilities
As Project Manager your responsibilities will be:
- Provide necessary program direction for planning, organizing, developing and integrating projects across multiple functional areas.
- Closely monitor/control project progression to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Report project progress to all key stakeholders.
- Support the technical team to investigate any project challenges by necessary risk assessment tools & techniques, then implement corrective measures.
- Serve as liaison with client contacts, manage day-to-day communications and organize project team meetings.
- Represent company in project meetings, prepare meeting agenda and minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Evaluate and assess project results and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Prepare Project Change Orders with inputs from key stakeholders.
- Effectively build project teams.
- Cultivate effective communication, cooperation and trust with client.
Qualifications
The qualifications we are looking for in our new Project Manager are:
- Strong and effective project management skills, with a proven track record working cross-functionally across a wide variety of technical, business and operational areas.
- Sc. or Ph.D. in life sciences or chemistry.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of business administration.
- Willingness to accommodate to requirements of a global enterprise including flexible working time and occasional business trips.
- Relevant pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience in CMC process development and/or GMP manufacturing are preferd.
