We are Group Finance & Tax, a diverse team with more than 70 colleagues based in Metzingen. Our aim is to become the leading tech-driven Finance & Tax team for our customers and beyond. Our role is pivotal in ensuring accurate application of accounting and tax regulations, and in delivering comprehensive financial statements for transparency across the Group. In line with our 'We love to support, we need to protect' mission, we develop streamlined Accounting/Tax/Treasury processes and guidelines, while advising our internal customers on operational enhancements and strategic initiatives always striving to actively contribute to the successful implementation of the CLAIM 5 growth strategy.
As the Head of Corporate Accounting, you are the navigator in a landscape marked by regulatory complexity. Your leadership is vital in steering the Group towards Accounting excellence, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance in a dynamic environment. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President Group Finance & Tax.

What you can expect: - Team Leadership and Enablement: Lead and develop a team of 15 members in the Corporate Accounting department, focusing on their professional growth in an evolving landscape of business practices, technologies, and regulations.
- Financial Reporting and Audit Coordination: Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, coordinate the group audit process, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting.
- Oversight of Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Maintain strict oversight of accounting-related internal controls for both existing and new processes. Drive continuous improvement in Accounting process efficiency and governance.
- Community Engagement and Interface Partnership: Act as the main liaison for global accounting and process issues for numerous internal customers within / outside the Finance division. Engage with the global finance community through training sessions and closely collaborate with key interfaces such as Investor Relations, Controlling, Legal, Auditors.
- Contribution to Significant Projects: Play a key role in contributing to major projects, including the 'Next Level ESG Reporting' initiative and the SAP S/4 HANA implementation, aligning them with the Group's financial processes and strategic goals.
Your profile: - Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration/Economics, with a focus on Accounting, Taxes, or Auditing.
- Professional Experience: Several years of practical experience in group accounting or accounting in a listed multinational group. Working experience in a "Big Four" audit firm and a professional exam (such as CPA, StB, WP in Germany) are a plus.
- Expertise in Accounting Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and HGB with a strong background in consolidated accounting.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and developing a team, with strong people management skills.
- Analytical and Change Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at managing ambiguity and facilitating change in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication and Collaborative Skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex issues clearly (German & English), collaborate confidently and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SAP FI/CO, BIS, and SEM BCS, and openness to new technologies are a plus.
- Quality and Customer Orientation: High standards for quality of work and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
