We are looking for you as an engineer in the area of avionics system architecture for a project at our well-known, international customer AIRBUS in Donauwörth. (part-time also possible)

TASK

You will work in a cross-border department composed primarily of avionics architects responsible for various civil and military helicopter projects.

You will work closely with other architects and interface with stakeholders in the areas of avionics, vehicles, projects, safety, certification and customer support.

On a daily basis, you will also play a key role in the adoption of systems engineering approaches by promoting the expanded use of state-of-the-art MBSE methodologies and overseeing such adoption within the avionics architecture systems domain, starting from requirements but also throughout the design and development phases Intermediate phases up to the final V&V process.

You will also support any other stakeholders you need to work with in spreading such a way of working.

The area of responsibility is broken down in detail as follows:

• Anticipate future needs and possible avionics solutions, from concept analysis to feasibility during the research and pre-development phases

• Ensuring the retrofitting and upgrading of our operational fleet, keeping our avionics up to date (resolving obsolescence issues, avionics improvements, introducing new capabilities/functions), as future developments occur)

• Definition, development and certification of the most effective avionics solutions

• Contribute to system level avionics strategy and contribute to technology roadmaps

• Participation in system engineering for avionics (processes, methods and tools) and management of cross-sectional functions

Depending on the project phase, you will have the following tasks:

• Identifying the needs of those involved (projects/programs, marketing, support, end users and customers)

• Defining operational concepts and use cases for all avionics

• Carrying out functional analyzes and defining the functional architecture (including functional processes)

• Specification of all requirements (functional and non-functional) associated with the avionics systems

• Validation and cascading of all avionics requirements for avionics functions

• Definition of all external avionics interfaces

• Propose the most effective avionics design resulting from a compromise based on constraints and all other influencing criteria (safety/availability, meeting customer requirements, cost/weight/volume, reuse, family concept, industrial strategy/partnerships, ...)

• Lead filter boards at avionics level for problem reports

• Lead flight clearance activities

• Interfaces with other helicopter systems and the ground segment

• Ensuring all verification activities at the avionics level

• Preparation of technical evidence for qualification/certification at avionics level

QUALIFICATIONS

• Study of engineering or aerospace or electronic systems or systems engineering or comparable

• Professional experience in engineering

• Working with the following tools is an advantage: Doors, Visio, Reqtify, Mantis, Nectar, Windchill, Cameo and 3D experience (TRA/TRM/EEW/RGD)

• Language skills: fluent in German, fluent in English
