Job-ID: V000054538 Location: Eschborn Assignment period: 05/01/2023 - 10/31/2023 Field: Trainees Type of employment: full-time Application deadline: 04/10/2023In mid-2023, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH will launch a new initiative called \"CATALI.5°T Initiative: Concerted Action To Accelerate Local I.5° Technologies\" to promote the uptake and scaling of innovative climate technologies (‘climate tech’) in young companies and startups in the Global South, with an initial focus on West Africa and Latin America. The initiative is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the international Green Climate Fund (GCF) for a total of EUR 36.5 million. Its objective is to trigger venture capi-tal investments in start-ups and young businesses with decarbonization products and solutions which have the potential of rapid business growth and a real transformational climate impact in the energy, food & agriculture, manufacturing, buildings and other sectors. The initiative will encompass activities such as acceleration and pre-acceleration programs aimed at early-stage ventures, ideation workshops (known as 'climathons') for founders interested in climate tech, and training sessions on climate, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), and diversity for start-up incubators, accelerators, and venture capital firms.

As a climate tech intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will contribute to the success of the initiative through a variety of tasks, which may include research, data analysis, communications, and administrative support.As part

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064,- (gross).
