Scientist* Personalized Computational Genomics
We are seeking a highly talented and motivated researcher to join our Personalized Computational Genomics team to support the development of cutting-edge personalized cancer vaccines. With BioNTech you will become a global expert in the development of a completely novel personalized immunotherapy against cancer using personalized cancer vaccines. Aufgaben:
- Develop innovative bioinformatic methods for our personalized cancer vaccine platform using rigorous mathematical approaches
- Create and analyze NGS datasets using state-of-the-art and in-house bioinformatic tools and pipelines
- Design and oversee experiments to test novel algorithms and work with big data to test novel hypotheses
- Develop expertise in cancer genomics, follow cutting edge developments in the field and support publishing our research in leading scientific journals
Qualifikationsprofil:
- PhD in physics or computer science with a strong background in statistics and a passion for data
- Expert command of programming languages such as Java and Python, expertise working with HPCs or clusters
- At least three years of experience in analysis of NGS datasets and use of bioinformatic tools.
- Expertise in AI, parallel computing and cancer genomics would be advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent command of English
- The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for their work, have a systematic approach to problem solving and be committed to delivering high-quality code
