Who are we ?
Apis Asset Management SA is a fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative company. We are a management company of investment funds. We are licensed for both UCITS and liquid AIFs (Fund of Funds, Hedge Fund, Other – Equity, Other – Fixed Income, Other - Commodities).
We have requested the Private Equity license to the CSSF.
We are currently looking for a:
Finance – Accounting Officer
Full-time or Part-Time (close to the Belgian Border)
You have a strong understanding of accounting in the financial sector (Management Company – AIFM) and keen on learning new tasks to enrich your experience. You want to join a human-sized company and be part of a start-up adventure.
Key responsibilities:
Accounting management
- Elaborate the monitoring plan of invoices to be sent by Apis,
- Send the ad-hoc invoices, and follow-up the payments,
- Pay the adhoc invoices from providers,
- Be the point of contact of the Fiduciaire, especially for the monthly financial closing,
Commissions management
- Control on a monthly basis the consistency of the commissions IN (paid by the funds),
- Be the point of contact of the Fund Administrations in case of discrepancies,
- Pay on a monthly basis the commissions OUT to the counterparties of the fund,
- Calculate and pay the retrocessions to distributors,
Financial reporting management
- Elaborate the monthly financial reporting to the Management Board and the Board of Directors.
- Perform the quarterly and yearly financial reporting to the CSSF (SGOREP),
- Calculate and control the quarterly own funds,
- Be the point of contact and coordinate the annual audit of Apis’s financial report.
- Prepare the yearly budget,
Miscellaneous
- Act as back-up on certain risk management tasks based on an internal training provided by the Risk Management department.
Your profile
- You have a master’s degree in finance or economics (or similar);
- Min 5 years in a similar position in the financial sector (Management Company);
- Knowledge in Private Equity and Real Estate (more specifically valuation and risk analysis) is an asset;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French, good knowledge in English. Any other language would be an asset;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team;
- Strong MS-Office expertise;
- IT-minded is an asset;
- Decision making and problem solving;
- Willing to join a startup company;
