Are you interested in driving significant packaging waste and carbon footprint reduction programs for Amazon Europe and make a difference in the Sustainability world? We're looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Program Manager to join the European Sustainable Packaging Team.
Packaging is the first tangible aspect customers experience when they receive their order from Amazon, and customers are highly influenced by what they can see and touch. The European Sustainable Packaging Team
designs and deploys packaging solutions that delight our customers, reduces packaging waste to the minimum required to protect the products, while enhancing operational performance, optimizing cost, and as part of The Climate Pledge, reducing our carbon footprint.
As a Program Manager in the European Sustainable Packaging Team, you will be responsible to manage packaging technical documentation (including compliance certificates), artworks, and the relationship with the Material Characterization and Packaging Performance Laboratories. You will also manage the Packaging Quality Control mechanism, lead root cause analysis in partnership with packaging suppliers and fulfillment centers. To be successful, you will need analytical and data-driven thinking, excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders (internal and external). You prioritize quality, you are continuously connected to the details and insisting in the high bar. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of work is extremely important, and you should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to their completion. The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, with strong project management skills, and continuous improvement tools.

Your leadership style thrives on collaboration, involving teams across product, program, design, science, and engineering spheres. You possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, simplifying complex concepts and guiding decisive actions. You anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs when necessary. Keys to success include strong motivation to dive deep into the data to uncover root causes and solving problems independently.
