Highlights

With a profound understanding and visionary approach to soft fruits, the Crop Manager Soft Fruits will spearhead the development and growth of the soft fruit segment. This will be achieved through a.o. providing global technical support for cultivating soft fruits in diverse climates.

What are you going to do?

You are going to support existing customers and attract new customers in the berry segment, by providing excellent technical support and knowledge to berry growers of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. You will prepare long term and annual plans to drive growth in the berry segment. Next to that, you will become the expert on soft fruits growing, understanding a.o. growing systems, diseases, nutrition and substrates. As expert, you will lead the technical support of key accounts globally and you will support and accelerate the sales staff internally. In this role you will interact with several internal teams and external partners.

Job requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Horticulture, Soft Fruits
• In-depth understanding of soft fruit growing and the value chain
• 5+ technical years’ experience in soft fruits
• An existing network of key accounts in the regions is an advantage
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Managing a business area with geographically dispersed staff
• Hands-on experience
• Demonstrated diplomacy in working across functions and cultures
