Job description
Are you an experienced and skilled professional in Storage and backup solutions? We are seeking a Senior Storage & Backup Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a seasoned expert, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Storage and backup environments, ensuring peak performance and reliability. Responsibilities Lead the configuration, maintenance, and administration of SAN/NAS based Storage environment. Oversee and configure Brocade Fibre Channel Directors/Switches. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot IO performance issues. Provide architecture and performance recommendations. Supervise and optimize daily Backup activities. Collaborate effectively with IT staff to address Storage and backup needs. Implement automation for processes to enhance efficiency and reliability. Identify and assess technical issues and associated risks. Perform ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned. Required skills and experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. In-depth knowledge of Large Scale Storage Area Network Systems (Design, Build, Operate), including Dell/EMC, NetApp, HDS, etc. Proficiency in CommVault Backup tool & administration is considered a significant asset. Expertise in Fiber Channel switches (Cisco and/or Brocade). Hands-on experience with NFS/CIFS and Block Storage. Strong server platform knowledge in Windows and Linux environments. Scripting knowledge, including but not limited to Perl, Python, etc. Familiarity with project management processes and procedures. Experience in a managed service environment with a service-oriented mindset. Proven ability to provide 24X7 Support. Expertise in Data Replication & Snapshot technologies. Self-driven with a willingness to continually expand technical skill set. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
