Job Description
As a Software Architect Cloud, you have the chance to design the technology to enable Caregivers in hospitals to take care of critically sick patients more easily. You will develop the User Interface and Analytics functions of patient monitoring devices enabling workflows to detect patient deterioration earlier and present actionable results to the user.
Your role:
- You will: define the scope and release strategy to incrementally grow a cloud based platform and application; align with stakeholders on the architectural scope, align with platform architecture, drive new elements of platform and application architecture; define software architecture, document with appropriate tools, contribute to relevant process driven documentation in line with (regulatory) standards & processes; realize feature to function breakdown and consult team members around architectural decisions and implementation guidelines, adapt architecture as needed. You will be end-responsible for the accepted implementation of the software architecture, by explaining, convincing, facilitating decision-making; solving issues and learning from them; establishing software architecture lifecycle management; and teaming-up for impact. You will be involved in growing and coaching the teams implementing the software architecture.
- You will be part of the R&D team that is tasked to deliver General Care patient monitor devices within the Hospital Patient Monitoring Group. The team takes responsibility for the overall solution and particular domain specific features. Requirements are provided by customers, application specialists, UX experts, and domain experts.
- This role offers you the flexibility to work in a hybrid model (3 days from the office and 2 days from home).

You're the right fit if:
- You hold a Master’s Degree (or equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant Engineering field
- You have 8+ years of software development experience
- You have multi-year experience as lead developer, software designer
- You have advanced experience with programming languages (C# /.NET, Typescript / React)
- You have experience with and a proven track record with cloud/Microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Rancher, ArgoCD, Docker, helmcharts)
- You have experience with tooling (Github, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio)
- You have experience with Databases (e.g. Postgres)
- You have experience with DevOps (Webpack)
- You have experience with communication protocols (e.g. FHIR, Kafka)
- You have the ability to work effectively in an agile team-oriented environment
- You are a good team player, but also being able to finish tasks on your own
- You are eager to learn and improve continuously
- You are conversant in English and fluent in German.
