The Institute of Translational Stem Cell Research (ITS) , headed by Prof. Henrik Semb, focuses on developing stem-cell-based therapies to treat patients with Type 1 Diabetes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic technical assistant (f/m/x) with a background in stem cell biology to join our team at ITS. This exciting opportunity involves working on a human stem cell-based therapy for type 1 diabetes (T1D) as part of a collaborative H2020 project, the ISLET. The position is initially limited to two years, starting on July 1, 2024 .

ISLET's primary goal is to develop an advanced cell therapy for T1D. Currently, ITS is finalizing the predevelopment work for the first cell product to soon be tested in patients with T1D. The candidate will be part of completing this work and contribute to the development of next generation stem-based products to improve future treatments of T1D patients.

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 9. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
