Job description
As an IT Project Manager for our client, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the successful migration of users from laptops/Desktops to Windows 365 Virtual desktop environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and end-users, to ensure a seamless transition while minimizing disruption to business operations. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities. Key responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for migrating users from laptops to Windows 365, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively. Coordinate with IT teams to ensure that the Windows 365 infrastructure is prepared for the migration. Lead a team of technical experts responsible for user data migration, application compatibility testing, and user training. Communicate project progress, status updates, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders. Monitor project budget and ensure that the migration is executed within approved financial parameters. Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and documentation related to user training and support. Conduct post-migration evaluations to measure the success of the migration and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure project team members meet their objectives and deadlines. Qualifications Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale IT migration projects. Strong understanding of Windows 365 and cloud-based IT infrastructure. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. PMP, ITIL, Scrum or other relevant certifications are a plus. Experience in change management and user training is advantageous. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
