Job description
Tasks performed regularly which form the essential characteristics of the position:
- Improve existing processes (Focus: Forecasting, Budgeting) in group controlling / accounting / reporting based on requests by and in alignment with all respective specialist departments
- Autonomously evaluate demands and requirements for changes of processes and data model including alignment with all effected specialist departments
- Fit these into the existing process landscape and data model and translate them into user requirement specifications for technical teams
- Define implementation scenarios together with respective specialist departments and technical teams
- Autonomously collect, maintain and publish documentation including training material for processes as well as data model
- Autonomously maintain and enhance the group reporting concept
- Define, maintain and document centrally provided standard reports (e. g. Handover workbooks)
- Coordinate de-centrally provided reports (e. g. naming convention, access concepts)
- Provide specific structures in SAP Analysis for Office / Query Designer (e. g. calculated KPIs)
- Autonomously maintain master data (e. g. FSItems incl. Breakdowns and related hierarchies) as well as input packages for group reporting and consolidation system
- Support maintenance and optimization of the user and access concept and manage user access request incl. alignment with effected specialist departments
- Provide second level support concerning the reporting packages (mainly during the closings) as well as support the optimization of the packages
- Support one of the segments with regard to technical questions related to group reporting incl. training, handling of consolidation monitor, ad-hoc analysis as well as creation of queries / reports
- Support major or autonomously handle minor projects together with other specialist departments
Qualifications required:
- Master / diploma in business administration (with potential focus on finance, controlling or accounting)
Experience required:
- 2-4 yrs. of work experience
- Background in finance and accounting function, ideally in group accounting / controlling / reporting
- Background in project management advantageous
- Background in medtech / pharma advantageous
Skills required:
- Assertiveness, conceptually strong
- Cross-cultural competencies
- Knowledge of group accounting / consolidation and/or group controlling
- Knowledge of external and internal reporting requirements
- Initial experience of working on reporting & controlling related projects / programs
- Basic knowledge of group accounting & (group) controlling tools such as consolidation, planning, reporting and decision support
- Affinity for IT, e. g. consolidation or reporting front- / backend tools
- Strong ability to analyze and present information
- Project management skills and initial experience, ideally within multi-national environments, i.e. information management, data management
- Basic knowledge about group reporting / consolidation software, ideally SAP (e. g. SEM, BW, AfO)
- Ideally knowledge about accounting and / or planning software (e. g. SAP ECC 6.0 FI/CO)
- MS Office, esp. Excel
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
