As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will spearhead our accounting operations independently, ensuring seamless internal and external payment transactions.
- Take the lead in processing invoices, meticulously verifying documentation and approvals for payment requests.
- Execute payments with precision and promptness, diligently reconciling transactions and swiftly addressing any discrepancies with vendors.
- Champion efficiency in the accounts payable (AP) workflow, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing best practices for heightened accuracy.
- Contribute to the meticulous preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Record accrual entries promptly and accurately to reflect incurred expenses and revenues, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
- Ensure expenses are recognized in the appropriate accounting period and revenue is recorded upon realization, adhering to accrual-based accounting principles for a precise depiction of the company's financial health.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, meticulously scrutinizing for accuracy and promptly addressing any discrepancies or variances.
- Thoroughly investigate and resolve any discrepancies unearthed during the reconciliation process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in all actions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation supporting reconciliations, fostering audit readiness and providing transparency in financial reporting.
- Actively participate in team, departmental, and general meetings, contributing insights and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA preferred
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the EU region
- Knowledge of DATEV and DE GAAP in a financial context is desirable
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independent and proactive in an international environment
- Fluent German and English languages are required
