Job description

Management of the multi-product Accessories & Gear development process for the assigned category and team. Act as a strong advocate for product integrity by working closely with the Business Unit, Design and all related support services to uphold quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities• Builds up and maintains a close relationship with Marketing Management, Design, a.i.t., Materials Development and Supply, Quality, Costing, Product Creation Technology, Logistics and Sourcing Organization• Ensures organizational efficiency through effective motivation, delegation and proper development of the respective team• Ensures that the team implements the required product standards for the product category to support the Business Unit strategy• Ensures continuous product and process improvement with emphasis on quality product development and completion of products in accordance with the operating calendar• Ensures all relevant development and production documents are communicated to the respective parties within the given deadlines• Interfaces with Marketing Management, Design, a.i.t., Materials Development and Supply, Quality, Costing, Product Creation Technology and the Logistics and Sourcing Organization to ensure an on time buy ready performance• Monitors and continuously improves workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT-systems, data and analysis• Allocates/delegates the different products/projects to the respective development teams in taking into account experience, product complexity and workload• Builds up and develops the team (objective setting, assessments, training, development) and fosters productive cross-category cooperation with the other Seniors• Takes a leading role in the pre-allocation of all development projects based on service and product needs

Key Relationships• Marketing• Design• Sourcing (Brand Strategy, Merchandising, Costing, Materials, Tech Services)• BOPS (Materials, Costing, Pattern)• GSP and SCI• T1/T2

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• IT - skills (e-mail, MS Office, PDM)• Fluent English (verbal and written), German an advantage• Experience in personnel management preferred

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications• Diploma or degree from educational institute focusing on related technology and/or manufacturing (i.e. material science, clothing technology)• At least 5 years of progressive experience in the A&G industry• Proven track record in Merchandising, Production or Development• 1-2 years of experience in Merchandising, Production or Development• 2-3 years of experience managing a team
