ABOUT US

We are one of 84 institutes and research centers of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science e.V. Our focus is on basic research. Our approximately 270 employees are currently divided into four departments and one Max Planck Research Group. In addition, the institute is part of the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg-Mannheim - an association of the leading life science research institutions in the region.

For the IT service unit, our institute is looking for the next possible date for a

IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration

Full-time, temporary for two years

YOUR TASKS

• Supervision of the scientific departments and service facilities
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining computer hardware, peripheral devices and network components as well as operating systems and other software products
• Procurement and management of hardware and software
• Organizing maintenance and repair orders

YOUR QUALIFICATION

• Successfully completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d), specializing in system integration or comparable training
• Very good knowledge of Windows clients
• Good knowledge of working with macOS
• Ability to solve problems and document independently
• Distinct service orientation
• Independent and team-oriented work
• Good written and spoken English skills
