Job Description
- This thesis includes research and analysis of the state-of-the-art automotive communication protocols used over ethernet in zonal E/E-architectures (e.g. DDS, SOME/IP, Audio Video Transport Protocol).
- You will design and implement a communication stack (preferably in C or C++) for realizing automotive use cases in such architectures.
- The design of a benchmarking strategy for a cost benefit analysis of the chosen protocols and the execution of benchmarking on an automotive testbed will also be part of your research.
- Last but not least you will document the results in form of a thesis along with a presentation in a colloquium.
Qualifications
- Education: studies in the field of Computer Sciences, Electronics or comparable
- Experience and Knowledge: in C, C++, and Python; ideally knowledge of Computer networks, Linux, Containerization and Virtual Machines
- Personality and Working Practice: independent and self-driven
- Languages: fluent English

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
This thesis can also be offered as an internship by arrangement
