As a Sales Collaborative Robotics and Business Development Manager you will take the lead in the development of new Business opportunities that will ensure local sales’ growth and support Robotics overall strategy. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales, who takes a hands-on approach to search for business opportunities.

This position reports to
Business Manager - Commercial&Operations
Your responsibilities
- Support the development of a deep local market intelligence and knowledge
- Identify new market segments and trends that can be opportunities for Robotics business and carefully plan actions to win market share in such segments, drive the execution plan
- Support/spread the replication of successful installations/applications and experience within market segments and/or customer type
- Create and maintain an internal network to develop long-term strategic relationships and collaborations to continuously grow the business and generate sales
- Prepare and present powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of products solutions
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals and supports revenues and profitability targets
- Accountable for total cobot sales in Germany
- Open new channels, develop and directly sell to distributors, cobot experts, OEM equipment, and OEM machine builders
- Support and grow cobot know-how within the new channels, also with joint visits and sales application coaching
- Engage and support ABB Front End Sales colleagues to promote and sell cobots into existing and new customers (mainly System Integrators and End Users)
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (industrial or mechanical preferred) or related subject
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automation market, preferably with a Robotics background
- Previous experience in industrial automation, solution / project sales involving technical products
- A self-starter approach, demonstrating the ability to think strategically and analytically about markets, business, product, and technical challenges
- Ability to segment a market and understand key elements
- Strong understanding of the value proposition to different customer types (end-users, System Integrators / OEM)
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Customer-focused and action-oriented, with a systematic and structured approach
- Willingness to travel 60% by managing collaboration with customer onsite and online
- Strong communication skills in German and English; both written and spoken
