FUNDING & IMPACT
While maintaining a strong connection with adidas AG, our primary funding source, we operate with full autonomy to strategically allocate resources toward fulfilling our charitable mission. We drive impactful initiatives, including grants for nonprofit organizations worldwide, support local projects aligned with our mission and empower social entrepreneurs through grants and seed funding. Our collaborations with essential service providers guarantee the successful execution of initiatives, ranging from refurbishing community football pitches to conducting impact assessments. Our local initiatives in the greater Nuremberg area serve as a launching pad for global expansion, empowering communities around the world. MEAL ADVISOR - ADIDAS FOUNDATION (M/F/D)
As Advisor for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) at the adidas Foundation, you play a key role in the design and implementation of our MEAL framework, supporting the alignment of organizational reporting with the adidas Foundation's multi-year strategy, fostering impactful and adaptable MEAL approaches in diverse global contexts. Their responsibilities extend to the development of MEAL tools and methods, overseeing and facilitating smooth grant management, and supporting program performance monitoring and evaluation with a focus on best practices and continuous improvement. They will further contribute to building a culture of learning and innovation through essential training, content creation, and dissemination, thus contributing to evidence-based decision making and enhancing the outcome of our charitable endeavours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overall global framework design, planning, and execution globally, collaborating with the Head of MEAL and the team, ensuring alignment of organizational reporting with the adidas Foundation’s multi-year strategy and contribution to tailored reports for donors
- Develop and implement MEAL tools and methods, including the processing and analysis of data, and effectively monitor and evaluate MEAL strategies to ensure impactful and adaptable approaches towards diverse local contexts worldwide
- Facilitate smooth grant management processes by establishing connections between program, finance, tech, and administrative functions and effectively communicate to the relevant stakeholders for successful grant implementation
- Support global program monitoring and evaluation by developing robust theories of change and MEAL frameworks, aligned with best practices, regulations, testing new tools and approaches,processing qualitative and quantitative data for more effective strategies
- Conduct essential training for project staff, partners, and the programs team, ensuring alignment of programs and goals and fostering a shared understanding of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning principles
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of learning content for the organization's monitored and evaluated work and educate internal teams on evidence-based approaches, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Develop, maintain and provide training on grant management planning tools, with focus on continuously identifying areas for improvement
- Manage project performance monitoring activities and systems and liase with multiple stakeholders for efficient and timely data collection, validation, reporting, and distribution across diverse cultural contexts
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc data analysis in collaboration with internal teams to develop detailed reports on progress and impact for continuous learning

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A results driven and self-motivated team player with compassion, integrity, trust, and perseverance, with a strong desire to work in a hands-on startup environment
- Experienced with MEAL approaches, tools, and methods for grantmaking across a diverse global portfolio, demonstrating knowledge of best practices in adapting MEAL approaches to diverse local contexts worldwide
- Proficient in developing and maintaining grants management tools, identifying improvements, and supporting the creation and implementation of Theory of Change and MEAL frameworks, with the ability to develop and test new methods
- Holds an extensive analytical skills for end-to-end processing of diverse qualitative and quantitative data, effectively visualizing complex information.
- Proficient in developing and disseminating learning content and facilitating MEAL training for project staff, internal teams and partners
- Strong organizational, time management and coordination skills, efficiently managing global project performance monitoring
- Strong English written and verbal communication and presentation skills, tailored for various audiences. Additional language skills a value-add benefit
- A strong collaborator displaying sound judgment, tact, humility and discretion in building trust-based relationships across diverse communities and stakeholders. Culturally savvy with extensive interpersonal skills, committed to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
Requisite Education and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (e.g., Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in implementing and overseeing global Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) frameworks, preferably in a global grantmaking and capacity-building context
- Evidence of specialization in sports-for-good, sustainability and/or international development related topics is benefical
