The role

As our Financial Accounting Specialist (m/f/d) you will play a key role in the insourcing of accounting at xChange. You will help resolve various accounting challenges as part of our insourcing and furthering the development of our ERP system. Furthermore you are going to support monthend processes tax and financial reporting and our upcoming audits. A specific area of responsibility for the role will be treasuryrelated tasks such as bank reconciliation. You will need to be able to exercise independent judgement and drive to resolve challenges based on your experience and involve other key stakeholders within xChange. Hence you will be working directly with the CFO and other Finance managers at xChange.

Location

This is an onsite position with home office allowance which means you will be expected to work in the office with us in Hamburg and still have the flexibility to work from home

Requirements

Your impact

• Selfsufficiently and reliably run basic accounting processes such as AR revenue recognition AP bank reconciliations and basic tax reporting (together with our external tax advisor).
• Support the accounting and finance team on any complex accounting issues. Such complex topics include e.g. calculating monthly provisions and posting adjustment journal entries as relates to revenue customer balances and money held on the customers behalf.
• Ensure that bank reconciliations with regard to customer and vendor payments are performed daily.
• Assist with the establishment of quarterly closing processes and help with the monthend reporting.
• Assist with the yearend audit process and act as one of the key contact people for auditors.

• Ability to be accountable and make clear decisions
• Extensive experience using an ERP system
• Selfstarter attitude with a high personal drive you are excited about being a part of rapid growth and not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Fluency in English (Knowledge of German is a plus)
