Software Factory is the central department responsible to harmonize and professionalize processes, methods and tools across the global software development for automotive control units (ECUs). The focus is on different areas like architecture, integration and releasing, software validation and software quality. Hence working with us means to set the base for state-of-the-art software development within BMW, that meets current and future demands.
Software-in-the-Loop-Testing is one state-of-the art technology which is an essential part of the software delivery chain. To establish a BMW wide SiL solution as a product/ service in Software Factory we are looking for a Product Owner Software-in-the-Loop Testing.
What awaits you?
- You are responsible for requirements management together with key stakeholders from different departments (cross-functional).
- You prioritize requirements for implementation within the team and are responsible for the product backlog.
- To ensure the implementation and mitigate risks, you use appropriate methods and lead the implementation with a cross-functional teams (different departments and external suppliers).
- You are responsible for definition and planning of product roadmaps incl. release management and alignment with customer projects.
- Supporting the financial planning, e.g. budget and resource planning to ensure the implementation, is also part of your tasks.
- Ensuring on-going transparency and continuous communication with customers completes your job profile.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related subjects.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT project management or product ownership.
- Strong expertise in agile project environments and project management.
- Profound knowledge in simulation and Software-in-the-loop-testing (beneficial in automotive environment).
- Experience in embedded or E/E Software Development (C++ and Python).
- Strong communication skills with all kinds of stakeholders from developers to senior managers and the motivation to proactively drive and iterate towards a common solution.
- Business-fluent German and English.
