Job description
YOUR MISSION
Within the Projects team of the tolltickets Technical Department ( tollticketsGmbH is a company of Kapsch TrafficCom AG ), the System Engineer elaboratesthe subsystems design and technical processes specifications for the developmentteam, which finally ensure the tolltickets systems met the requirements fromcustomers and from toll domain authorities.
The role reports to the lead of the Projects team, it closelycooperates with the Lead System Architect (LSA) in the department, and it shouldalso interact with external customers and authorities.
Analyse, document, and review business processes and business use cases
Develop, and qualify requirements for assigned parts of the tolltickets solution
Produce and review detailed specifications for the development and test teams
Contribute with the LSA to defining the overall solution design and to ensuring the completeness and consistency of all subsystems
Produce, review and maintain relevant design and architecture documents
Build specific domain and/or technology know-how related to the tolling systems
Support the test manager and the integration team during system level integration and acceptance testing
Preferable technical education, master’s degree – e.g. MSc in Electronics / IT Engineering, or MSc in System Design, or in another comparable discipline
Methods and tools of system architecture and system design (e.g. Enterprise Architect)
Experience starches over a part of the following : business process analysis, international standards and customer specifications analysis, requirement management, use case definition, design documentation redaction, implementation and test specifications writing – and related tools (e.g. JIRA and Confluence)
Valued technical competences, although not mandatory, should span across part of the following : Windows ; Linux ; PostgreSQL ; MS SQL ; Oracle DB ; RabbitMQ ; Web Services ; REST API Specs ; SOAP ; json, yaml, xml, xsd ; web security certificates and authentication ; C# ; web applications.
Some specific knowledge of DSRC and GNSS tolling technologies, and of electronic tolling services and solutions (EETS) would be a plus, although not essential

The level of required qualifications and competences will be assessed according to seniority and background. Applications of candidates with limited experience are also appreciated.
