Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability #IP2TIS offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.
As a sustainability and innovation intern, you will work on cutting-edge projects that align with our commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and forward-thinking solutions. The position is located within Facilities&Engineering+SHE.
Our department is operating buildings and units for several production lines of drug substances.
This includes WFI, clean steam, HVAC and more.
Engineering projects, strategic development of our assets and driving technical innovations are part of our daily business.
The strong connection to SHE (safety health environment) in every life cycle aspect is critical to us. The main topic of this job opportunity will require getting in touch with cross-functional experts, that know how to build and operate a complex and modern pharmaceutical production site.
Insights of other sustainability projects will be imparted, to align with our mindset of sustainability. The “blowdown optimization or usage of clean steam utilities” focuses on clean steam units, that are currently unavoidable in the pharmaceutical industry.
These units have to be optimized in their operation and waste heat should be integrated into our energy concept as efficiently as possible. This internship position is located in Germany/Penzberg, on site/hybrid. Key Responsibilities * Summarize mandatory aspects of the current clean steam operation * Identification and visualization of waste heat potential * Coordination of optimization potential with experts Who You Are   You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of chemistry or engineering (e.g.
HVAC, energy, process) within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore you are * Clear understanding of thermodynamic basics preferred * Basic chemical understanding preferred * Dealing with technical documents preferred * Approaching others openly preferred * Passion for sustainability required Technical details: The start date for the internship is 1.
