Head of Department System AIT&V & GSE (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
Disciplinary management of the
department “System AIT&V & GSE”. Ensure implementation and strategic
development of the AIT&V processes. Maintain and further develop the OHB
environmental test laboratories and the Environmental Testing Team. Further
develop the M- and EGSE as products for internal space projects.
- Disciplinary manage, evaluate, and develop the department and the teams for System AIT&V, Environmental Test and Metrology & GSE
- Further develop and build up the competency for direct reports
- Further develop tools and technologies, further standardize the AIT processes for Space Systems AIT with the objective of continuous efficiency improvement
- Lead the digitalization and industrialization initiative within AIT
- Define and implement the AIT technical baselines during project lifetime in close cooperation with the AIT Management
- Further develop the product engineering for M- and EGSE and the capabilities in metrology
- Continue to develop, maintain, and operate the OHB test laboratories in Oberpfaffenhofen within agreed cost targets
- Ensure cross-project knowledge development and transfer
- Control and regularly evaluate the work results, schedules, costs, quality, and effectiveness of the work
Your Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Physics or in a relevant field
- Several years of professional experience in Space Engineering Disciplines, in AIT, and in professional management, proven skills in team leadership
- Practical experience in a responsible AIT role within a Phase C/D Space Project
- Experience in managing projects or sub-projects in view of cost and schedule targets
- High affinity to process definition and modelling
- Experience with SAP and digital production management is beneficial
- Knowledge and experience in the Systems Engineering field is beneficial
- High problem-solving orientation and good analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and cooperative attitude
- Innovation capability, well organized and structured working method
- Assertiveness, critical faculties, conflict capability and intercultural competence
- High cost awareness
- High degree of motivation and identification with the department and the respective projects
- Fluency in spoken and written English, knowledge
of German is preferable
