oona is a brand of Aava Mobile, the leading innovator in the global enterprise device market.
From Finland, the early epicenter for mobile phone innovation, 3 wireless technology veterans saw a global market opportunity for professional grade rugged computer tablets which are more durable than consumer models, yet not quite the costly bullet-proof units mandated by the world’s military and police forces. In 2009, they started Aava Mobile in Oulu, Finland to create a new category of durable mobile computing. Retail, restaurant, hospitality, logistics and field services were top of mind at the outset. Aava’s “Finnovation” continued with the addition of two Android tablets of the corresponding size formats, but with a built-in CPoC contactless payment antenna for “tap‘n pay conveniently embedded on the screen front for ultra-fast transactions.
In 2022 Aava Mobile launched the brand oona with professional-grade devices for contactless checkout.
Our office is located in beautiful Hamburg. However, the sales area you will be responsible for covers the whole of Europe, you can be based anywhere in Germany.

- As a Key Account Manager, you are the contact person for our key accounts and responsible for developing new market potential through new customer acquisition by evaluating qualified leads and following them up accordingly.
- To achieve this, you will build and expand close customer relationships through proactive communication and regular visits, to ensure that our sales and development targets are met.
- You observe our market competitors and market trends to derive sales strategies and key account plans.
- The development of pricing strategies is also part of your tasks, as is the coordination/review of legal documents (NDAs, code of conduct, supply agreements, and other compliance documents).
- As well as developing innovative solutions to our clients' problems, you will build an effective network of internal stakeholders and support credit and cash collection activities as required.
- You hold a degree in engineering, material science or in a business-related field, e.g., marketing. Alternatively, you have completed an apprenticeship with relevant professional experience.
- Industry experience in the field of payment industry or experience in the sale of POS systems in the retail/hospitality sector is essential.
- Experience in relationship management/key account management is just as important as strong communication skills, which you will use to convince and train customers and colleagues in both, technical and commercial matters.
- An independent way of working, a focus on results and the willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics are just as important as keeping your cool in challenging situations.
- You are willing to travel 30%-50% for national and international trips.
- You communicate fluently in English and, at least, very well in German. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
