What you'll do
- Being the interface between procurement, Knauf plants and R&D to our suppliers on all quality related topics
- Own, improve and roll-out Supplier Quality Management processes within global procurement and the worldwide procurement community
- Challenge the existing material quality standards towards best quality for Knauf and foster their fulfillment at our suppliers
- Perform supplier audits to foster problem solving, continuous improvement of both product and process quality as well as evaluating new suppliers during volume ramp-up
- Identify systemic supplier quality issues and drive their problem-solving process
Who you are
- University Degree in the areas of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, chemistry or comparable professional education
- Quick comprehension to diverse production processes (mechanical and chemical) and proven background in performing audits
- Experience in problem solving methodology and tools like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc. and proven success in the area of supplier management
- Fluency in English (spoken and written), additional languages especially German are a plus
- Willingness to travel of up to 30% in order to maintain a professional presence in the plants and at suppliers
