Job description
As a hands-on engineering manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of two applications with customer facing, that supports Small-Medium enterprise owners to better understand their finances and having access to competitive financial instruments.
You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring your team, as well as architecting and designing systems to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of the systems.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also play a key role in collaborating with stakeholders and partners to understand their data needs and help identify new opportunities for data-driven innovation. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that requires strong technical skills and leadership abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Design and quickly implement scalable applications
Lead the architecture and code design efforts and guarantee stable implementation
Ensure the platform stability, security, and reliability
Implement security checks and controls over a no-trust environment
Ensure E2E tests/Unity tests
Develop and maintain the integration with external data providers
Ensure the constraints related to compliance and regulations of the fintech industry
Stand for code quality and best practices
Ensure monitoring and observability of the platform
Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to understand their data needs and identify new opportunities for data-driven innovation
Work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to drive results in a high-impact, high-visibility role
Become the go-to person about the technical and business domain surrounding the data platform
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in data engineering to support the requirements of the data scientists and business stakeholders
Proactively seek out new technologies and techniques to improve the performance and reliability of your data pipelines and provide insights to support complex data models
Own the efficiency and reliability of the platform and its assets by continuously monitoring and proactively taking corrective actions
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure that your work aligns with business goals and objectives
Enable the product engineering team with a solution-driven approach
Take into consideration the time-sensitive nature of of MVP projects and the fast pace of the startup market
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering or relevant proven experience
At least three years of experience as lead engineer and a minimum of eight years of engineering career
Strong skills in test-driven development
Proficiency in programming Python and SQL, NoSQL + Go as desirable
Knowledgeable about domain-driven development and micro-services
Have worked on complex distributed systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience leading small teams by guiding, mentoring, assessing performance, and supporting people's growth

The innovation
We combine the topics of invoices and receipts, multi-banking and preparatory bookkeeping into a guided process for the customer. We summarize relevant information in the form of recommendations. Thus, the entrepreneur has a holistic view of their finances.
